Barbi pics

Beautiful evening - better weather than last year and a really good turn out. Even a shoal of mackerel showed up. Adrian turned out to be a far better equipped chef than me - he brought half his kitchen down to the beach.

Wells Coates' Embassy Court looking stunning after her refurb.

(That's the lovely Esme, Bip Mistry's little girl. That's why he's been so quiet!)

Beach party - NEXT WEDNESDAY!

This month’s meeting is the summer beach party at Hove on Wednesday June 7 from 7.30pm. The venue is the groyne just to the left (if you are looking at the sea) of the Meeting Place café on the seafront. It’s the same place as last year, if you attended in 2005.

Postal address for the café is Kings Road, Hove BN1 1NA. The café is next to the Peace Statue. The barbecue/party is on the long groyne between 50 and 100 yards to the left of the café. If you have any doubts on the day call Adrian Colley on 0791 966 5818.

If it’s wet, don’t despair, we’ll adjourn to a nearby pub. Please try to make it – we will be providing plenty of free food and wine or beer. Bring some friends, sun tan lotion and an umbrella, to cover all eventualities.

If you're coming from outside Brighton and Hove, the nearest train station is Hove.
