Had this through:
The steering group of the Brighton and Hove issues forum is holding an open evening on Thursday March 9, at 6pm-7.30pm, at Community Base, Queens Road, Brighton.
We'd like to invite you to a join an on-line public discussion forum where you can share your views and opinions on Brighton & Hove issues with a growing network of local people.
Developed as part of a national 'e-democracy' project looking at ways to use the internet to boost local democracy, the forum has been running for 12 months and already has over 200 members drawn from all parts of the local community. Members include residents, parents, cyclists, business owners and councillors.
Topics discussed in the past few months have included Park & Ride; bicycles on trains; Gehry development at King Alfred Centre; EDO Protests against arms trade; Recycling.
This is a chance to find out more about an exciting new local project. If you are a member of the Brighton and Hove community, a resident with any local concerns, a politician, business owner, academic, health worker, anybody... come along and find out more over a free glass or two of wine.
If you can't be at the meeting, you are still welcome to join the forum and signing up couldn't be easier.
Simply go to http://www.e-democracy.org/brightonhove and follow the on-screen instructions.
