NUJ Training update- FREE courses

This just in from the union's training department:

We are running the following courses in April 2006 - Journalism an Introduction for Freelances & Others on Thursday 6th April from 10am - 4.30pm. Cost for NUJ members is £65 and non-members is £105. Introduction to QuarkXpress and Photoshop both 2-day courses on Saturday/Sunday 8th-9th April from 10am-5pm on the Saturday and 10.30am-4.30pm on the Sunday. The cost of each course is £225 for members and £375 for non-members. The above courses are taking place in London at the NUJ head office.

There are still spaces available on the above courses and I have attached below the links to each course outline, which tells you who the courses are aimed at and who should attend.

Training Course Calendar March - July 2006

The professional training department is now also arranging the trade union training. Chapel and branch officers who have not attended any trade union courses should consider doing so. These courses are FREE to members and all reasonable travel and accommodation expenses will be covered. These courses have been designed specifically for NUJ needs by the GFTU and they are all accredited. The following dates have been organised:-

6/7 April - Basic Officers, Manchester
27/28 April - Negotiating Skills, Headland House
29/30 June - Basic Officers, Headland House
1/2 July - Representing Members, Headland House
13/14 July -Negotiating Skills, Headland House
